Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP) revealed the winners of the 2021 round of the Keeling Curve Prize (KCP), celebrating the positive work undertaken around the world to address the climate crisis.
VIA is consulting and project management company that primarily works in the renewable energy space with expertise in mapping, rural electrification engineering, software development, and installation of renewable energy equipment, amongst others.
VIA is mapping the location of all off-grid households in 50-100 countries, then using this data to design electricity distribution networks for every last house, using an appropriate modern mix of extending the existing centralized systems (eg. electricity grid), building stand-alone mini-networks.
